Bio-pesticides are naturally occurring beneficial microbes, such as fungi and bacteria, which have been isolated, tested and mass-produced as a crop protection agent.
Real IPM (Kenya) produces a range of biopesticides which have been Registered for use in a number of African countries. Our biopesticides are priced to allow prophylactic preventative programmes to be applied. This means that they are capable of replacing 50% of the chemical applications, even in crops as sensitive to damage as roses. Biopesticides are not the ‘soft option’. They provide growers with the tools to manage resistance to pesticides, fill in the gaps created by banned chemical pesticides and respond to retailers who must have reduced chemical residues.

We have begun the process of registration in the EU and hope to obtain an OECD data package in the near future. Once this process is complete, we will be able to use this to make our biopesticides available in any country worldwide. The in-country registrations will only need local efficacy trials before they can be fast-tracked into use by growers.
