Vermiculture
Vermiculture is the cultivation of earthworms. The earthworms convert organic wastes into fertiliser known as vermi-fertiliser.
There are two types of vermi-fertilisers produced by the worms
- Vermicompost aka vermicast; these are the worms excretion (poo) also known as after eating the organic wastes.
- Vermiliquid aka worm tea; this is the liquid you collect from your Worm Bin through the tap
Real IPM has Worm Bin to facilitate the production of vermi-fertilizer. The vermiliquid is used as a foliar spray or drench while vermicast is applied to the soil as compost.
